that album bores me, I think I have a case of "first-album-itis" when it comes to this band though. The Crane Wife will probably always be my favourite Decemberists record because it's the one I heard first.

This album is so awesome. I'm revoking the 4.0 I handed The King Is Dead because it now seems like The Decemberists regressed so much from this (The Crane Wife) when they made it.
