Same, I saw Fightstar back in 2024 at Wembley and they were fantastic (one off gig). I was really hoping for new Fightstar following that, they ended on such a high note with Behind The Devil's Back. All that material feels a bit wasted now with this new project, I just hope it isn't the end for Fightstar. I wouldn't even be mad if he took the mask off and started playing some old Fightstar tracks live, it's just a phase mom

Yeah, this does seem like a disingenuous, cynical attempt at achieving popularity without an ounce of original ideas. This band's music feels more like a product than actual art. I used to be into this type of alt metal, so I probably would've enjoyed it 10 years ago, but now it just feels like hollow trend chasing.

I’ve seen Busted x2, Fightstar x7 and President x1.

Album is kinda hot ass in places but some songs ("Doom Loop", "Dark Heaven") are definitely catchy enough to warrant repeat listens. The problem is that none of the material here even comes close to peak Fightstar and the production just strips it of any authenticity.
Also, respectfully – from one dad to another – using AI to polish or help with wording/structuring completely undermines your own original input and packages it in a way that's just unappealing to read, especially when you have em dashes showing up in a way that ChatGPT likes to present them. I try to write when I know for a fact that I have "me" time and don't have to churn it out in 30 minutes or so. Don't let the community ratings discourage you from wanting to write in the future if that's what you want!

The only thing ill say about the ai thing is , if you want to review or write anything, You need to do it whether its in parts or over time, using an ai to polish or change it twists your voice and words and sometimes even the intent. Please keep writing but keep in mind if you have an idea you need to give it or find the time to execute it

Angel Wings is genuinely a fantastic opener. It just kinda goes downhill from there really. I do have a soft spot for Mercy too though, that keeps worming its way into my ears. I think Doom Loop and Dark Heaven are pretty mid actually, definitely two of the weaker songs on here.

Weirdly I actually quite like 'Doom Loop' and 'Dark Heaven', some of the few songs on here I go back to.
Aside from that, 'Mercy' is decent, 'Hate Figure' is dumb nu metal fun times, and 'White Devil' is alright in concept but the execution is a bit rough.

'Fightstar x7'
Dayum.

I enjoyed In the Name of the Father when it was released, however, that remains the catchiest song I heard from them ever since. Will check this out just out of curiosity.

Thanks for your advice guys.
I imagine President has made more money in 1 year than what Fightstar made in 12 years. You can see why he chose this instead and it’s only going to keep generating money

I thought we all had an unspoken agreement to ignore this group. I feel betrayed.

A fucking men. Money is the meaning of life after all. Who cares about making music with integrity anyway. That shit is so 2010

I guess he has two boys to pay for and shit these days so expensive. They will no doubt be the next generation of musicians to carry the torch having such a talented multi-instrumentalist dad teach them
