charli has always had clunky lyrics, she just works with producers good enough that you can ignore them. I do think she leaned into it with brat and MFF though, with the angle that its 'raw' and 'real'. Call it amateur, call it lazy, you wouldn't be too off the mark.



I honestly think this is more of a cook/feane project than charli though and I really like their take on indie rock (barring rock music...)

This is definitely not a love letter to 2000s indie pop. It sounds more like music made by someone who hates or does not respect rock music.

idk what i'd even call this genrewise lol. just a disaster really! throwing in some amateur sounding guitar licks doesn't make it rock. the guitar parts might be the worst part of this.
