all that to say: absolutely one of the best records of the year and for sure the best dm I’ve heard… I’m getting nervous about the Gorguts record that’s supposedly coming out. It’s August and we haven’t heard anything yet. I guess anything’s possible but I really don’t think it’s happening this year : /

man, that Nothingness album felt like a big step back from Supraliminal. need to spend some more time with it but I was pretty disappointed

Ok I looked at my ratings. Haven't done a good job @ keeping up w/ dm this year but I think funebrarum, thaetas, protrusion, fossilization and stabbing are all better too
I mean this is enjoyable dont get me wrong. I just think the hype machine behind some of these new dm albums is getting a bit overblown. New immolation is pretty good too, but certainly not their best in 20/25 years like a lot of people were saying and I think that saying this is "taking dm to new heights" is really jumping the gun a bit
