While I do like it aesthetically, The cover concept is a bit Weird I think. Especially with the fold out showing the whole picture it looks like an angel whose legs werr consumed by flames and who is escaping that into the light above. if the angel was actually descending why are the legs already completely gone and all other parts of it intact? wouldn't everything still be there or the legs just starting to burn?

Its the symbol of decay as we descend morally, as a society. The legs represent our mobility, and in this context our mobility to navigate the tenets of empathy and interconnectedness as the world.... descends... into chaos. Its less of a burn, and more of a disintegration of values.

Idk tbh

This is good, I just don't think it's comparable to World Below or M&D

It's pretty fuckin awesome. Might be like #4 or #5 for me, it's currently fighting with Unholy Cult

But I prefer Majesty to this still, that album is a fucking beast

Minor gripe - the lead guitar on banished is not great. Kinda elementary writing and the rushing is noticeable. Shoulda tried a couple more takes

Wish I liked this more than I do (given my appreciation of this band's broader discography), but much like the previous record this felt uninspired, vapid, and, ultimately, gratingly boring.

Somewhere in between Ford and Hawks. It's another excellent album from Immo. Is it near the top albums like CTAWB, HIA and UC? Not really. I don't think it's far off the quality of Acts of God which was also excellent.

Damn, this is actually amazing. I somehow get the 'more o the same' feeling, but this is just done on such a high level. That chaotic bridge in Host and the wailing leads after the chorus for instance. Did they have that kind of parts in the past? I guess yes. Does it make them less impressive? Not really for me!

I am not really a friend of the sound though. This could sound a lot more beefy and less clean for me... but just a minor gripe with this masterpiece. Can't wait to be brutally assaulted by these gentlemen at Brutal Assault
