I love the vibe of the album tbh. Just wish it was more consistent.

It'd be a 4.0 EP minimum if it just had the 5 or 6 good songs

I mean, the good songs are REALLY REALLY good. I love "Clockwork" and "Planets" and think those two are some of his best songs ever. I really, really dig "Oxygen", "Windhunter" and "Daisies" as well. "Solar Death" is okay and "Cherries" isnt terrible but it sounds half assed.
"Jeanet" is absolutely dreadful, so is "Numb TV Superstar" even though that one could have easily been reworked into a post grunge 90s alt rock song. "AstroGuard" is sompletely meh for me, and "Ghost" couldve been better if it wasnt for the awful distorted voice effect, at least that one has actual drums at the end of the song. It´s just a very frustrating album for me, hence my rating.

One of the worst albums ever made.
I think that's reserved for (insert any Cradle of Filth album)....
Guilty pleasure, certainly better than musically than most pop metal. Lyrics are fucking terrible agreed.

Planets is an actual banger. Album is way overhated, but I understand the frustrations people are having with it.

lol I was gonna comment something similar when the review first dropped.... that releases getting strong negative consensus like this often compels me to want to check it more than when they get overwhelming praise

To me it’s an extreme overreaction mostly due to how odd the first two songs are. There is no justification for calling this the worst anything, let alone the worst album of all time.

I don't even think Hawks listened to the whole thing. He 3.5'd Wildhund but treats this like a red headed stepchild.
The more Wildhund esque tracks like Planets and Windhunter are awesome. There's even a Melting Sun type song with Clockworks. Stop the hate!

It's frustrating to see staff member "Ryan P" rate the album nearly a month before its official
release on October 10th. He's never listened to it but gives it a poor rating out of spite. This
kind of behavior undermines the credibility of the site. Staff should be held to a higher
standard.

It’s one of those albums that’s hard to defend because it has clear issues. All too often though when something this divisive comes out it seems like it’s open season for extremely negative, surface level takes and piling on. It can be funny and I’m sure I’m guilty of participating in similar behavior. However, I don’t think it’s unfair to expect a least a small explanation of how this is so antithetical to hallmarks of acceptable music that it deserves its place in auditory media infamy.

Everyone join the hate wagon choo choo.
This isn't bad at all (aside from Ghost).
On a different note, the play counts on Spotify aren't exactly through the roof.

It's not bad in the sense of being the worst album of all time or any other nonsense. It's just a regression from Wildhund in my opinion. There are some very good songs on this and they've been referenced repeatedly. The issue is that the good stuff is basically counterbalanced by all the bad ideas. I think 2.5 to 3.0 is genuinely a solid indicator of the album.

Lol I wouldn't rate it if I didn't jam it. I'm not Tundra.

Some of the singles on this were kinda cool but this whole album is a complete mess.
