I listened to Brand New Chanel and i wasnt too fond of it at first because it sounded a lot more generic than anything on this . I thought it was too much of the kind of stadium/festival "pop" i can enjoy but nothing special, but with more listen it grew on me. I still think this dont come close to the top 5 on this but I still hope it will be good

What's a cool, but subtle, change in sound of beat up chanel$ compared to the WGIA songs is the use of a band for it. Like she's now comfortable using them in the songwriting (would make sense if the songs were written after WGIA's release & the need of a band for performing live). Compared to WGIA which had some sort of live instrumentation in every song, but it was more of an element to the song as opposed to the main body of it.
