JD is an insanely overrated album but it's still a soft 4 for me. It might indeed take multiple spins to get into, but you might not be partial to that era of Converge. Def agree with Hawks that from Axe you should go right to AWLWLB

Now I love it, but that was after checking out several other albums (Axe To Fall releasing was my re-entrance into the band)

Great review hawks, definitely a top 5 record for these guys… which is still insanely high praise. First half dozen listens or so and my favorite has to be Make Me Forget You, and the way it flows into We Were Never the Same is so fucking perfect.
