Nah dude, it’s just sad to see the guy that was largely responsible for one of the best metal albums of all time go out on a dud.

Better to burn out than fade away, someone said that once I think

I feel like Dave still loves metal and what he does. And that is why I can't fault him for anything bad he's done lately.
Unlike Metallica that clearly do not like what they do and haven't for 20 years.

honestly you really might be right, but 72 Seasons and Hardwired are still better than this.

Not that those are great records or anything, but better than this.

Spit Out The Bone alone clears anything Dave’s done in an least 15 years

Yeah see I feel like Dave embraces the corn ball and just loves what he does and I find that endearing even when something is flaccid

If this were fun then I'd be able to make it through most of the songs instead of NEXT BIT

Alright I gave it a go, album's nothing remarkable. In one ear, out the other. It was fine while it was on. I'll echo what I said earlier about the production, it's so utterly uninteresting. Cheers to y'all who are willing to give this several goes and write reviews, I can't be bothered.

The vox didn't bother me that much tho

-- 72 Seasons

would wish to have a fraction of the urgency of this album

-- the vocals and lyrics

both have been mined with utter greed in the past, but there is far worse stuff out there imho

The more I listen to this, the more this feels a nod to Countdown To Extinction.

hardwired is way too long but the good songs make for a really good album imo

Hardwired def better than this - Now that where dead, Dream no more and Confusion and sounds better. I’d also take 72 seasons over this.

But I’d take Dystopia over all 3 easily - it’s the last great Megadeth album and by far their best this century
