This is a great album but it definitely leans more into the heavy side of their work. As far as 2k albums go I think Formation was the perfect bridge between old and new Testament

Album rips. Definitely their best post-FoD (though I do think BotS is slept on). This one is as close as they've gotten to The Gathering style-wise, which remains my favorite Testament album followed closely by their first two.

Muzz bro I’d take 8 of their first 9 records over this with Demonic being the exception. This is great but those other records shaped my youth man….

Titan forgive me I couldnt get into early Testament. I got Practice cd back in the day on a whim and liked a few tracks. Then got into Low and Demonic in the 90’s but dropped off again. This however blew me away

Drumming is elite. And all songs are interesting

Well, drumming has always been elite for the most part. I have this on par with The Formation of Damnation, which I really like. Para Bellum is most definitely better than their last 3 records. I love the fact that you enjoy Low - that album is incredible.
HAIL MARY FULL OF GRACE!

ok, I never listened to many classic bands, Testament included, but I gotta say you can tell these guys have been trying to keep up with modern metal developments. Convincing blast beats by a mellow thrash band like this? Yes please! There's a good bit of variety and dynamics and a huge emotional range. I'd give this a 4 but the vibe is a bit too quaint for me at this time. still, quite impressed

For the Love of Pain, Infanticide AI, and Shadow People (the first three tracks) are the ones I always listen to, and then I end up switching back to The Ritual or Practice What You Preach.

Sums up my experience with this as well, but I go to The New Order instead
