Yeah war metal, albeit different from war themed bands, is one of my faves but it's filled with insufferable creeps and losers who demand racial purity from their mother's basement.

said it before but sadly antisocial music will always attract antisocial people. just the nature of the beast.

And yet we don't have to accept or tolerate their bullshit.

Listen, if the music its good, its good. I will never monetarily support shit people with Nazi ideologies, but I will jam the music if it rocks. Shit people can make great music. Its sad, but its true. You don't have to put money in their pockets. Arghoslent writes some of the best melodeath ever made, but as people, they're absolute garbage. I'll stream their stuff, but I'll never do anything to directly support them.

I just think there should be severe social consequences for being a Nazi, I don't think we should shrug when Nazis invade communities and music scenes as if there's nothing we can do. I'm not expecting anyone to only listen to bands whose members have been confirmed to be good people, it's not like all the bands I listen to are squeaky clean.

Some of the most riff-heavy melodeath I've heard in a long while. In fact it reminds me a lot of Arghoslent, that racist band

Well these guys worship them - bar the racist lyricism, of course - and are even on the same label, so yeah, the Arghoslent mention is apt.

They're also probably racist tbh, just not straight up Nazis it seems.

soon meloslent will be the new djent and it will all be racist

"probably not if you actually read the lyrics"
"Bro the lyrics imply genociding indigenous people is bad, that means they can't be racist"
Imagine being this naive lol. Their main influence is a Nazi band and they're on a sketchy label. I think it's more likely than not that they hold some questionable beliefs. But whatever, it's not coming through in the art and as far as I know none of them have said anything dumb publicly. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad for listening to them, I've jammed them here and there myself. Just trying to be realistic.

It sure is wacky in any case to write lyrics expressing progressive concepts while sticking to a label that traffics in NSBM pretty openly. Idk what you're supposed to make of that but . . . it sure is somethin. Yer brain's gotta be pretty scrambled to be in a black/death metal band ig.

whatever you may think about associations, it's just marketing through a label who knows how to get this type of music seen. this is their best chance of actually making some money whether you agree or not.
