This might be tops for me but I recognize I lean heavy on their alt side

Just gets better with every listen. Still think Cemetery Sun is my favorite and perhaps their best song. I am LOVING the rhythm section. Needs more attention

Moving Car is my early frontrunner. I feel like l am ascending when that chorus hits. Similar feeling to what Sick and Lavish gave me.

Gonna need to spin this a lot more but tentatively at a 4
I still really feel like these guys have a total masterpiece in them. Everything they’ve made has been pretty fucking good but they still haven’t really broke through that ceiling for me.
However they are one of the best bands I’ve seen live. Like I was fucking astonished at how good the vocalist is. Usually with these bands that are kinda half screams half cleans the singing comes across as half assed live but homeboy nailed every fucking note.

They opened for Better Lovers and I was very disappointed in the crowd man. I get they’re not the band you’re here to see but any time I go to a show I always try to check out every band on the bill before.
And I mean, you’d think a bunch of ETID fans would be into these guys but I guess not.

They're probably not big enough just yet to justify a headline tour out my way which sucks. These guys are just flat out way better than heaps of bands that are bigger than them. Weird how that works but it happens a lot.

funnily enough I saw that they're headlining Hangar 1819 next month at the Daoboys show I went to Wednesday night, so maybe they're right on the verge.
as for me, Empty Black Greyhaven is my ideal Greyhaven, and as good as this record is, it still doesn't hit the same high for me. Satellite In Love and Cemetery Sun are stone-cold killers, though.

Empty Black set a tremendously high standard straight out of the gates no doubt

Stereo Grief is without a doubt the best thing these guys ever did. I said it somewhere else, shit it might’ve even been itt, but it’s seriously one of my favorite EPs ever.
And it’s still early, I’m gonna listen to this a whole lot more, but Jay, its looking like we won’t be eating hat.

But what do I know, I guess the lower avg should speak for itself, but I definitely like This Bright and Beautiful World more than Empty Black.
So maybe my opinions with this band are just kinda weird in general. Still, really solid shit and they’re clearly very talented musicians. But they have yet to put out a full length record that blew me away.

I'm actually with you Wildcard. All their LPs are great, but none of them are front to end stunning the way Stereo Grief is.

Definitely agree with that. But I don’t really feel like I’ve been keeping up with newer core bands

The riffage is just insane. Can't figure out why these guys still aren't huge

Cemetery Sun is my front runner at the moment.
The ETID force is strong with this LP

Seeing them in NYC next month (fingers crossed). Hard agree that Stereo Grief was top-down perfect and given that, I can’t see this as reasonably bettering that. But they haven’t released anything subpar dating back to Empty Black.
