This is definitely my fav of theirs. Agreed with what Noctus said on the first page, this is really the culmination of everything they've done to this point. Just an incredible record all around.
1. Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration (4.8)
2. Fulfill the Curse (4.8)
3. Darkness Drips Forth (4.7)
4. Never Cross the Dead (4.5)
5. Effigies of Evil (4.5)
6. Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed (4.4)
7. The Tritonus Bell (4.4)
Such an amazing band with such consistent quality.

I gotta sit down and jam this properly tonight. I didn't get to focus on it as much as I wanted cuz I had shit to do while I was jamming.
But still, hard 4 for now at least.

Let me share something. Hooded Menace is one of my favorite bands. Definitely my fave Death Doom band. I was introduced to them by Mr. Blayne Smith, from the Banger TV YouTube channel, as his favorite band of all time, when reviewing Ossuarium.
Came to Sputnik and started to digest what was, at the time, a totally new sound for me, slowing down and stretching my brain to a “larger” songwriting scheme (after that I got into all those funeral doom bands). Needless to say, Hawks guided me through these guys’ discog, and it was an awesome ride:
From the deep caves: Ossuarium Silhouettes Unhallowed – 5
From the underground dust: Effigies of Evil – 5
The muddy depths: Darkness Drips Forth – 4.5
The Halloween-esque: Fulfill the Curse – 4.5
Heavy as hell: Never Cross the Dead – 4 (cause its only on yt lol)
All these had some really vicious, mind-bending, brain-melting buildups, with stretched yet tight writing, something I really came to get enchanted by. The vocals used to be much lower as well, literally giving you the feeling of scratching the dirt form under the grave.
Then with The Tritonus Bell came a new era. Without sacrificing any of their signatures and ID, they upped the tempo and somehow became a more accessible band, requiring a little less patience than the exercise I used to go through with Hooded Menace songs.
This new album is probably their best in terms of riffs (oh boy, the riffs) and writing, and it’s an obvious 4.5+ in my books, but it doesn’t surpass or overshadow anything that distinguished them as a band on their early outings.
