wow this is an absolute mess that actually irritated me a little lol. the moments where it's more straightforward were decent but what a mish mash of a bunch of different genres that do not work for me. they do not go together and aren't blended right. feels so patchwork with no throughline. hallelujah is horrendous and dan's love song is pretty bad. i really don't like a lot of the vocals on this especially the cleans and mumbling. the harsh ones are fine but are weirdly produced so isolated. points for effort and something different, but not for me.

I definitely am not exactly enthralled by the cleans on this but mostly everything leading up to those moments are pure excellence making it easier to be dismissive of them. Curious to see how they will be in a live setting if I see them next month. Pretty dependent if my buddy wants to go to the show or not. Not a fan of going alone unless it's a must see group I cannot miss.

Just a heads up, Fantano gave this a pretty glowing review. The last time I saw an underground band get a positive review from him was Daughters and they then went on to sell out the entire tour.
Just saying if you plan on seeing them this tour, cop a ticket soon because I’d say there’s a decent chance they’ll start to sell out. It’s only sitting at 33k views but ya never know
