it is a little high though, seems a lot of fans also consider this one of their weaker LPs so it'll probably drop to the 3.20s on RYM, i guess i'm just not seeing this sharp dropoff that the Sput averages are showing but that's fine lol

back to my ozzy/sabbath anthology-style discog run i'm doing before ozzy's final show, xpect some sabbath threads to get bumped

@botb: I'm mostly talking about my friend Thirteen (yes, they named themselves that after the Johnny Cash song) who's all over this and especially new Daoboys they lean far more chaotic than i do but whenever our tastes overlap it's some good shit

If you’re doing adjacent bands too don’t forget rainbow

I never would’ve connected the Johnny cash song in a million years but if that makes them happy more power to them. All me and my grumpy old head friends all dislike both of those bands so I think it’s just who we surround ourselves with is different

i'm mostly focused on the Ozzy projects, everything else is lower-priority atm but that'd be a neat lil run to do after

i think i'm holding off on the Dio era because...quite frankly, dude's voice starts to annoy me after a bit so I have to take his projects in slow and steady whereas I can take in Ozzy for hours with zero issues lol

1. Vox was never good

2. Lyrics were always somehow even worse

Instrumentals are still fun though

I mean he's talented for sure but Ronnie James Dio kinda falls in that same category as like Dickinson and Halford for me. Nothing but respect for the vocal talents but i just kind of don't particularly love that specific vocal timbre and I never have, closest I've ever got to loving a voice that veers around that territory is Klaus Meine of Scorpions. It's not a knock on their ability, i think i'm just far more attuned to vocals that, to me, feel more "vulnerable" and emotionally-centered so to say. Rono here falls in that camp tbh
