Given this a few more listens and I definitely like it but fuck it's hard not to hear the Deftones plagiarism. Tongues is literally just Deftones even down to the vocal effects.

Apparently a deluxe version is coming out? A new song just dropped and sounds more or less like the continuation of For Now with Crush added for some measure. I personally think the album was too short and single-oriented, so I'll see if the expansion helps this out.

Jesus this album slaps down Heroine. It’s actually so great. Highly recommend seeing them live. They didn’t play a single song from TDP or Heroine when I saw them and I wasn’t mad.

I like this much better than I did on first listen. Some really nice sounds on here and overall good songwriting. But fuck man, they take the 'inspired by Deftones' thing to ridiculous levels on some songs. Tongues in particular feels like a legitimate copyright infringement lol
