the bridge section of Autopilot is fantastic, sounds much like the old Silverstein.

I like both releases, equally. Negative Space is one of the most enjoyable songs they have ever written, with The Fatalist using the main riff in a heavier groove, for the background of the slow breakdown, is a very nice touch. I'm combining both releases into one album; should be fun messing with track order a bit :D.

Post here what you come up with and I will give this a try. The first ep was alright. Commentary around the second one has me a bit pessimistic given I wasn't in love with the first.

two releases are pretty similar, maybe Antibloom is slightly better imo. Their recent albums have more repetitive melodies, words and instrumental sections, which I find them dull and lazy. For instance, the tedious echoes in the chorus of Negative Space directly dampen the song's energy.

The difference one ass track can make. Had this as a 2.5 from my first couple listens when it was released, but listened to it with fresh ears and without A Little Fight and this is actually MUCH better than a 2.5
oh and a tip of the hat to the production, this is a treat for the ears

Their most played songs on Spotify are atrocious. The worst I've seen any band have I think. Exclusively their worst from both past and present era lol

The masses love that kind of stuff that’s why so many legacy core acts have migrated towards it

This band fell off so hard

Not wrong, but they bounced back with this (just exclude that one track)

I wish this was better. I’m a hardcore Silverstein apologist too.

It’s fine. And way better than their last couple efforts. But we know what this band is capable of when they want to go bigger and more ambitious with it. We’ve all heard wind shifts and I am alive. I just think staying in Joshua tree should’ve yielded something bigger and more grand with some experimentation. I had such high hopes.

Smile in Your Sleep and My Heroine? what's wrong with those?
scene staples as much as Taste of Ink and Reinventing Your Exit

^ yeah I went to look and wasn't surprised or offended at all by the first 8 top songs coming off their first couple albums. Scene stables for sure.
Song 9 Afterglow is serviceable. 10th song is really the only clunker (Infinite).
Was happy to see Bankrupt has fallen off. Bummer that This is how the wind shifts doesn't get much mainstream love.

For some reason Massachusetts and Vices got demoted but they do have decent numbers plus I've firsthand experienced how much the crowd loves them haha
