Mikko was alright, better than i thought. He was lowish in the mix tonight wether that was deliberate or not no idea. He doesnt sound like was trying to ape Aaron like was shown in the earlier footage of these shows. I think he has found a groove vocally that fits for him. It was pretty solid to be honest. Aarons presence was missed but thr rest of the band was tight.

So basically a dreamlike setlist...without Aaron.
Seriously the only song I'd remove is Feel the Misery.

Feel the misery kinda went hard tbh. Mikko was just low so that sucked. Honestly my take away from it is: Aaron could possibly be replaced in a live show setting if they find the right person, is this ideal? God no but everyone else was tight and on point with everything.
I hope they make up and whoevers at fault removes their head/s from their respective arses but im not optimisitic. Also i dont think Lena can smile o.O but DAMN SHE IS BUFF

Listened to the full record for the first time in about a year. My Dying Bride are still one of my favorite bands, but man, I am never going to be a fan of this record. I just can’t get past how uninspired and predictable the guitar riffs are, especially when compared to the material on turn loose the swans or the dreadful hours. I recently listened to the Trinity compilation, and it is absolutely striking the degree to which the music composed by MDB at that time was so much more diverse, unique, avant-garde, and menacing.

I mean those records are nearly 20+ years old. Sure this isnt as good as classic MDB but its still a solid addition to their modern era. Better than Ghost of Orion

How many of you have heard about this? I am extremely excited to hear new material from the classic MDB lineup (minus Andrew of course). Calvin left MDB the second time due to a lack of dynamics with the material being written for The Ghost of Orion, so looking forward to what he’ll come up with for this project. Should scratch the itch for those of you who missed the death metal riffing in the current iteration of MDB.

Rick Miah left My Dying Bride because he couldn't play the drums due to problems with his back...
Good news, but naughts My Dying Bride albums rival '90s My Dying Bride albums (the EPs stand above all imho) on any given instance.

Towards the sinister could be super cool and basically two MDB's is cool, Aarons said they have some ideas for new music. Theres another article that stated Aaron was heart broken to see them perform with another singer.
Everything about this is making me think Aarons a bit of a diva

So you're implying he has a tendency for drama?
Who would have thought of that. : p
