This review just feels like the reviewer desperately wants to be a contrarian without having the words to back up their opinion properly. At the very least, this is the vibe I get when you call this album "overhyped" on the very first line. How is this going to make you seem like a credible or unbiased reviewer? You shouldn't just blatantly say right out of the gate "I think this album's trash and here's 5 more paragraphs to explain why!" Not to mention that the reasons you give for disliking the album are completely wrong and at odds with the actual music itself. You call the guitar work dissonant... you know some artists do this by design and there's actual reasons you wanna do things this way, right?

Also the namedropping feels very excessive. Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Bob Dylan... and Elvis?!? Contrary to what you think, this does not help your review, especially when the reference points have close to nothing to do with the music on display. Remember when Elvis played grunge rock with weird time signatures? Again, it just makes your review feel more antagonistic than it needs to be... just like a bad comedy bit.

Judging by this and your other newer review, you probably should stop doing negative reviews because you're not good at it. Stick to reviewing music you actually like. As it is, you're just trying to piss on people's parade but you keep your pants on.
