understandable but in the end I don't think they will ever top grimace when it comes to batshit insanity

Good album but a small step down from the debut.

@asleep

I do feel that in moments but I greatly respect how they channeled that same manic concept into a more grinding/dismal approach that's not quite as -intense- but equally so maybe even more viciously angry.

Somehow this album feels even more nihilistic than God's Country, as if Armageddon has already happened and this is the waste it's left behind.

God's Country felt more unique (despite influences firmly on sleeve) and deranged. This is that much safer, that much more streamlined. I like it! However,

Pulled an all nighter and I told myself I'd wait til I woke up to listen, but I might just bump it now.

I think they've jettisoned 99% of any cringe found on the debut so I'm very happy with this.

Already given this two full spins today.

More top tier Chad Pile for sure, gonna be spinning this a ton. Hard to say where it stacks up vs God’s Country. Probably won’t be able to determine that for a while.

Funny, Slaughterhouse is probably a bottom 3 track on that album for me (but it still slaughters)
