lmao very happy to find babygirl was just the token single. has def bought another year or so of me putting up with his shit, album is wild.
think he's finally perfected the dumbass guitars he's been trying to incorporate the past few albums. most abrasive album he's done since black ben carson easily

wow rym completely turned on this guy lmao
feels like everyone decided the earl stuff was their breaking point with him, cause purely from a quality standpoint idk how anyone who liked the last however many albums would dislike this one

Peggy can be as annoying as he wants as long as he keeps making shit like Yen and Burning Hammer

I love Peggy fuck the haters, really might be my favorite active rapper

burning hammer is one of his best tracks ever. i don't care how many "fuck your bitch" lines or triplet flows he wants to hit, i live for these beats
still early but i'm already enjoying it more than this album (directors cut is prob a 4.5 for me)

New album kinda getting unwarranted backlash tbh? ik people were bent outta shape about the album rollout but i don't see the issue with the music itself, like he's been bragadocious and prideful as early as Veteran tbh. Biggest thing id say is the new one didn't feel as memorable on first listen but i thought it was p great still

I don’t think he’ll ever top Veteran but that’s also because I had never heard anything like it at the time, if Cornballs or LP, or even this had been my first exposure to him then one of them would probably be my favorite.
Still tho, Veteran is just undeniable man. One of the GOAT rap albums even if I don’t think Peggy belongs anywhere near a GOAT convo… that said, his verse on that Injury Reserve track shows how good he can be. Easily his best verse and that really showed how fucking *mean* he can be

I like Peggy but he's become predictable, like I checked out the yen video last night and it's exactly what I thought it would be. Now that's not really a negative persay, when suffocation puts out a new album and it sounds like suffocation that doesn't bother me. Buuut yeah with jpeg idk it's like a student taking two classes and prioritizing one over the other without realizing that they compliment each others growth.
And as for the earl thing: don't think people care that much to troll rate as some sort of earl army.

i don't think its an earl army necessarily, but proclaiming himself "the king of experimental rap" and calling the album 'experimental rap' ruffled a tonnnnn of feathers. or at the very least... astronomically raised expectations to the point an average jpeg album wouldn't cut it.
he did it to himself so i won't really waste too much time defending him but its kind of a hilarious 180 from a userbase that slurped up everything he did for almost a decade beforehand.

Getting the vibe that people are turning on him? I haven't paid a ton of attention to him lately but Veteran and Cornballs were certainly moments. He'll always have those under his belt

He's a terminally online weirdo but still has some tracks agreed

I didn't even know he had a new one. I'm not rushing to it, I've fallen off his stuff lately but am curious what people are saying

I'm not online enough to understand why people might have beef with him either. Maybe its over his work with Kanye?
