Honestly, I'm not really that surprised, their setlist is absolutely insane, particularly the last 6 songs are gonna be like pouring kerosene on the crowd and lighting a match, holy shit. Not to mention they're opening with Blinding Faith... I expect pure mayhem at that show.

But to have some fucking asshole security dipshit to literally pull me down by the waist, by himself, only for me to knock(ed loose ha ha) my fucking head on ground is some bullshit is all I’m saying. That happened to me one time at an acacia strain show, got put in a full nelson and wrestled to the ground by a huge security guy for “going too hard”, gently motioned around me to everyone twice my size punching people in the head and was like “so you’re not big enough to tell them or…?”

i’ve thankfully never had any really bad run ins with security at shows but one time i saw Reflections at this shitty venue and this one security guard was prowling around and eyeing me the whole night and fucking with people. real small-dick power trip energy, thankfully i was a good boy that night. i could tell he was looking for an excuse to crack my head. glad you feel better wildcard

i feel like the state of hardcore-moshing discourse is kind of just a new generation of listeners that got into hardcore during the pandemic and saw some tiktoks or someshit of crowdkilling and thought thats what every show should look like. in that regard : Nails had a pretty shitty crowd back in like 2017(?) but still nothing too ridiculous outside of some 4' chick getting drop kicked in the head for being too close to the front of the stage, no stage diving bs at least. saw dillinger on their last tour and it's the only time i've seen a stage get rushed and people being crowd surfed from the pit onto the stage, but even that had zero people ninja moshing the entire set/no one got hurt.



buuut yeah every now and then i see the mosh discourse pop up on twitter and the youngens basically treating crowdkilling as peak show experience just makes me feel old, if you tried to pull that shit in the late 00s at a dc hardcore show you'd probably just get your ass kicked in 15 seconds, there'd be some exceptions like haymaker(from ontario, missed the show but had frineds go) but otherwise was always frowned upon.
