Wildcard I'd say Brainwashed and You Are We are the albums you should check out. This is the Six is the consensus best one on Sputnik but to me it's a draft version of Brainwashed. And You Are We is their best blend of their modern melodic side with some of the balls of the first two album still present.
Also personally I would recommend Sleeps Society though I'm in the minority on that one.

I think I’ll do that. Like I said there’s genuinely some very enjoyable guitarwork, and if they have more moments like the first minute of Leave Me Alone I’ll probably dig it

First two albums were so fucking good what the hell happened to this band? Tbh I saw this trajectory coming after You Are We but it's still sad to see.

The thing that pisses me off so so much about them is during the whole You Are We thing they made a big fuss about being independent and not attached to a label and crowdfunded stuff. They got really bizzare and suddenly shifted to the nu-metal/pop metal revival thing with mixing rap....its just got weird. Maybe i was too harsh on this maybe i need to try it again ill admit it. Theres not much outside of To the flowers that really sticks. I think track two or three had a really nice bass sound.

instrumentals are redeemable at parts but those vocals, godawful rapping & lyrics drag it down to a sub 2.0

I personally couldn't care less about rap in Metal, I generally welcome it. Even here I think the inclusions of it are fine, if not for the lackluster lyrics. I'd even say that it makes sense considering the Nu Metal influences on this.

This is about as good as anything I’ve heard from Ronnie Radke.
people defending this record… take that however you want I guess

The rapping might have worked if the lyrics were a little more coherent. I always feel like rap lives and dies on its lyrical strength partially. You can have simplistic vocal structure but you can't have it AND shoddy nonsensical lyrics

Everything about it is bad. The flow is trash, the lyrics are dogshit, his delivery is annoying, the instrumentals are weak.
Why listen to anything this guy has to say when you can just listen to nu metal bands that did it better 20+ years ago? And honestly, nu metal infecting metalcore is the worst trend the genre has ever seen, and man metalcore has seen some dumbass trends come and go, so that’s really saying something.
