Deeper Well, Too Good To Be True, and The Architect are my top 3 but Sway and Giver/Taker are also excellent.

Also, Moving Out and Heaven Is are both sneaky underrated

The only one that truly rubbed me the wrong way was Anime Eyes lol

relistening to Golden Hour now, was that an attempt to make a bouncier Velvet Elvis?

Listening to Golden Hour again it just has so much more going on instrumentally. Whereas all the songs here are quite homogenous on that front. Still really enjoy single tracks here and there, though. Agree on Heaven Is, replay that a lot

I'm really not usually into country music but Kacey Musgraves is definitely making me think twice. Granted, I think it's just the way Kacey presents these songs is why I enjoy them so much. I've tried some country in the past but honestly, I hadnt really made an effort try and get into it. Being someone from Ireland, this southern kind of country stuff was something I wasnt exposed to much, and that probably contributes to why I'm probably not as sick of it as some US folks may be. I did adore Ethel Cain's recent record, and that definitely had some southern twang in parts. It's got that singer songwriter vibe I've been into recently. It has slice of life lyrics that are relatable. Kind of nice in-between Taylor Swifts early days and Phoebe Bridgers usual stuff. I did really like Golden Hour too, and I think this is about as good. A very tender listen.

Tundra why does every one of your comments read like you're trying to reach the word requirement of a book report?

Kacey has some great albums but this is not one of them. I do like the title track though

I think Anime Eyes might genuinely have some of the worst production I've ever heard
