The more I listen to this, the more impressed with how amazing Halford sounds. His highs are comparable to some of the notes he hit in the 70's and 80's. Fucking awesome stuff

you know what, I'm actually liking this as much as Firepower now. revisiting Firepower, it's got more dead spots than I remembered and Shield is growing.

freakin love what they've done with this album, pretty much like every song on here, even the bonus ones. Crown of Horns and Giants in the Sky even manage to make me tear up, this shit is REAL man.

It's been already said a million times but the fact that they are still this good in their 70s is absolutely mind boggling... Rob Halford is the one and only Heavy Metal godfather

After a couple of listens over the last few days I find that it starts blending in together after a while. Firepower is better at keeping my attention. Still kicks ass and puts almost every other band to shame.

I still think Firepower is the superior album, but this really is a worthy follow-up in every regard.

I made a playlist with five songs from each and it's the secret best album ever (bae) and it's all mine

Yeah this is not even close to being bad

Holy fuck Trial by Fire is amazing. His vocals are also stellar, I love how you hear his age but it's such a nice touch to this record

Robs performance was the critical piece on whether this album would work or not, and he hits it out of the park.

He’s 72… how is he still singing like he’s 30 or 40?

Priest was just like "aight it's been 40 years, let's run back Screaming and Defenders, cover art and all" and it worked??

This album holding a 4 average is insane and I'm here for it

A pretty secure 4 at that, as it's currently 4.01 on the chart. Impressively high ratings across the board here

It's a solid 4 indeed. Album slaps relentlessly. Crazy how some grandpas in their 70s got more energy and blood pumping than most youngsters nowadays. (Now go and call me a boomer but facts are facts...)

Still think Firepower is a bit fresher but this probably even more fun

I listened to Firepower again and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I think I just prefer this by a smidge
