Yeah, I don't necessarily think Kanye is a nazi so much as he is an edgelord who is too prideful to admit he was wrong and out of pocket so he boxed himself in and ingratiates himself with figures on that side because they welcomed him with open arms. Materially, him being a true believer or not matters very little in terms of the harms he's done and the harmful rhetoric and dogwhistling he's perpetuated. I think a younger, more stable Kanye -the one who made Dark Fantasy- would've used this album to explain his perspective and mental illness more but, well, he's severely mentally ill and insulated from any sort of actual repercussion.



I do legit think some of his fanbase would actually support him if he outright murdered someone lol

Obviously that doesn’t make him not an insufferable douche but the only reason he says a majority of the shit he does is because he’s an edgelord. The right has embraced him specifically because it falls in line with their anti-cancel culture rhetoric and so they tokenize him a say “look black people agree with us too!!!” That and he’s rich so he’s a possible donor to people if they’re nice to him and tell him what he wants to hear.

Tbh, it's honestly splitting hairs because I agree with you that he basically causes the same amount of harm as if he were a nazi so there's no real material difference.



I believe he's very likely antisemitic and conspiratorial. I believe he likely shares a lot of harmful BHI views. I think he is also an edgelord with a lot of pride who is taking the easy route instead of reflecting on his actions.
