This was a bonus find at the beginning of the year for me and I have listened to it every week since it's release. Paint of an Invader might be my song of the year, it's been a great year for music that's for sure

The ambient track that follows is very dull
But the rest of this is really cool

Ok some of the tracks after that first one were a little less chug dominated. A 9 minute song with like 5 breakdown sections was not what I was expecting going into this lol

It took me awhile to get into the first couple tracks because they didn't seem all that special to me but the back half of the record hit the sweet spot with the longer tunes and the drones between. After revisiting the first three songs after this sort of opened up to me I can appreciate the intensity that is the first half hour of the record

2 full listens to the new LP and I love the evolution of the sounds so far. Divine Laughter strikes me as a raw but cathartic release and the new one has so much more post metal elements that it's impossible to ignore the twinkles
