Mama, I can’t leave you here in hell

Anywhere I go I’m still myself

I’m a tunnel caving in

And a goddamn great American…

He’s a hell of a guy

Hey pals,

It’s Joe again. Once again, this was the only review that got it right.

To those of you still listening to either EC album (or CEG for that matter) in 2025, I humbly thank you and request that you check out Patreon.com/emptycountry, where I’ve been posting new songs that will make up ECIII. I’m self-funding once again so every little bit is tremendously helpful. This time I’m recording/ mixing the material myself. I believe the three songs I’ve posted so far (and the one I’m taking a break from working on to write this note) to be my best and most compelling work to date. Though I suppose most artists believe the same about their new work. I’ll let yall be the judge instead of pronouncing it a masterpiece before it is finished… like I did about ECII on these boards a mere 2 years-ish ago…lol

Though no global pandemic prevented us from touring ECII, my father-in-law passed from pancreatic cancer shortly after the album came out. The magnitude of that loss more or less erased any ambitions we may have had to tour or promote the album.

If you’re not in the position to sub to Patreon at this time, I would encourage you to donate any amount, however small, to Pancan.org

Barring any catastrophic world events or personal tragedies (I give it about 50-50), we will see you out on the road at some point in 2025-2026.

My sincerest thanks for being willing to engage with weird art and make meaning together

It's a treat to see you stop by again, Joe.

Really excited about the direction Empty Country is headed and can't wait for the next chapter. The new stuff is shaping up to be something special.
