No it isn’t. It sounds like butt and will always sound like butt.
I meannn sure, but at least Nine had stuff like Heaven and No Heart To Speak Of. And even if the production isn't that much better, the drums are certainly more tolerable.

I think I enjoy Nine because it sounds like how Skiba era should have been from the start. The California sound didn't fit with him and felt like they shoved him in as a replacement. Matt has the best moments on Nine and shapes that into a more unique listen on return.
One More Time is definitely open for growing on me but I'm unimpressed and failing to see what others see at the moment which is frustrating because I want to genuinely like the classic lineup return.

when jackass forever came out, it got a really positive reception despite being essentially a bunch of dudes in their 40/50s doing the same dumb immature shit they were doing 20 years ago. it was deemed 'an ode to male friendship' and other shit, because above all else, it made people laugh and feel joyful
blink and this album are very similar i think. yes, they are a bunch of dudes in their 40s singing about the same shit they did in their teens/20s, and yes a lot of that is immature and cringe, and yes a lot of this is carried by nostalgia. but there's something really intangible here. some of that is due to the undeniably endearing story of friends coming back together after tragedy.
blink have always been a band better as a sum than their parts. they've never been amazing lyricists or great musicians technically, but they made music that was emotive and made people feel things (wether fun/upbreat, sad/melancholic, or often both together). and thats what this album does once again
If people arent into it, thats fine and valid of course, but there's a quality here hard to describe, maybe best called 'heart'. and emotions are often more important than any technical aspects in art
or w/e maybe im just enjoying the manchild vibes

I'm convinced Pots actually hated Angel Electronics and is trying to make sure nobody bothers to listen to them by pushing them in the most obnoxious way possible

Terrified sounds like a perfect meeting point between the post-hardcore tracks on Untitled and the spaciness of the production on Neighborhoods, shame it's like the most compressed song on the entire album

Great stuff. Anthem Pt3 is a great opening track. Felt like Dude Ranch Tom there. Turpentine, when I was young and Bad News are classic Blink. Production is fine. I understand why ppl are hating on it but doesnt ruin the listen for me.

Ngl as a s/t and Neighborhoods hater, DeLonge returning had me worried. I'm glad I was wrong. This is great.

@JohnnyoftheWell : "The way he pronounces "turpentine" is the latest thing to ruin America for me"
The way Tom pronounces is clearly a joke. Mark and Tom pronounces it correctly when they sing together in some parts of the song and Tom wrongly when singing aggressively until the end of the song where he pronounces it correctly and realizes and reacts with a "God dammit" made me chuckle. Blink-182 is not to be taken seriously lol
