I've warmed to them a lot but they're kinda tough to get through initially when the more immediate thrills of the rest of the album are right there next to them

What's it take for an album to get that BNM by the by?

either change the summary to a variant on Emotionally Exploitative Burnout Young Adult Pity Party (ft. Phoebe Bridgers) or wait for dedex
you know which the faster option is

I'm setting some time aside to digest this in a single sitting (not now, but soon), which is something I rarely do for fresh 90 min+ albums these days

I can get behind all the reasons people are loving this, but I'm curious, how often are all of you giving this a high rating actually going to revisit this? I mean, what even is that last track? this has some cool moments, but I don't take away much from albums like this other than saying "that was cool" when I'm finished. I can appreciate it from an "artistic" point of view, but I can't say that it justifies it being good music.

The 20+ minute songs are not something that I'll be revisiting all that much, but I find the rest to be genuinely exciting.

Yeah this album feels more like a performance for moments/songs. Even the cover art looks like one of those post-modern art things you see at expos, although it could also be one of those IQ test's pattern exercises too heh...

I'm appreciating its challenging character and personality but music quality wise it's not that incredible tbh. (Maybe some day I ll eat my words who knows...)
