Again they're definitely a weird band that I fully get why people aren't into it, I just think it's funny how up-their-own-ass people can be about their opinion and the 2-3 people displaying the worst of it here are the same in every thread I've seen.

Ye that's fair.

One of my bigger gripes is how formulaic it is with the "ope here comes the big riffy dj0nt part!" followed by a pretty token djenty riff that isn't that impressive by itself, but idk something about the production and the way the drummer is just digging in pounding the piss out of it, if I just let go of whatever hold ups I have and let myself enjoy the sounds that hit me, I really like it.



And to be clear, I'm not being hostile or upset in the least that some people don't like it, I'm just pointing out what I see about the way some people present their opinions in an obnoxious way.

They definitely have a formula for sure, but it works well and there are moments where they break it. Not seeing the Imagine Dragons comparisons outside of maybe part of one song. I completely admit tho, the lore crap is extremely cringe but it doesn’t impact the music for me

I think a fun schtick is just that, you can take it as seriously as you want to and try to decide for yourself and project how seriously the band is taking it but at the end of the day who cares.



I actually hear what people are talking about with the imagine dragons comparison but it truly is just a small aspect of their sound, so saying they're "literally just imagine dragons" is such an obvious troll that doesn't really land, the reasons that Imagine Dragons suck have nothing to do with what's going on in Sleep Token's music as a whole.
