Wicker Man is awesome, probably the best track of the modern Maiden era and one of their top 5 overall. As for the rest of the album DoD did the same thing better.

The best of the modern Maiden albums and my favourite Maiden with Bruce album alongside Number of the Beast. I would leave Iron Maiden too if I'd recorded something as dire as No Prayer For The Dying....Wicker Man is great, as it Out of the Silent Planet even though they did nick the title from the mighty King's X ;-)

An awesome review and a fantastic album.

IM is probably the most consistent rock band ever.

This is my favourite Maiden album NOT released in the 80's. AMOLAD comes fairly close though.

Styx have a 1999 album called Brave New World.

I wonder how many bands actually have albums called Brave New World from the turn of the century period...

The return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith to Maiden restored heavy metal's finest line-up and was enough to make Brave New World their better record since...let's say Fear of the Dark.

I don't agree with those who say that BNW matched Powerslave, Piece of Mind or Seventh Son (that is taking things a little too far) but this album have really good songs like Ghost of the Navigator, Blood Brothers, the title track and specially The Wicker Man. A good step into the new decade.
