I literally can’t see how the album is overrated

Bleed will stay huge and one of the best metal tracks, y’all can say whatever but y’all weren’t there in ‘09

for me, 'bleed' doesn't hit as hard as some of the other songs tbh, idk what it is

This band is just a bunch of random noises. I hate it.

bleed isn't a very good song, but by having zero riffs and chugging the same two notes for 7 minutes straight, it succinctly encapsulates what meshuggah is all about, so it's a perfect introduction to the band

riffs can be comprised of one note / chord

was "there in '09" and i think most of the people itt were too lmao, bleed is basic compared to most of their stuff but that doesn't make it a bad track

how is Bleed only 2 notes for 7 minutes lol there's a guitar solo. I actually feel bad for people that listen to that song and come away with that impression, that is tragic

yeah thats a seriously disingenuous critique, theres at least 3 notes

the remaster is really subtle, i think

guitar solo on bleed you can kind of tell that the higher register notes are a bit rounder

i guess i'm glad they didn't overdo it

it seems like a more subtle remaster overall than their nothing remaster

well Nothing 2006 wasn;t just a remaster... it had new drum and guitar tracks

^ yep. And the re-recording of the guitars was mainly due to Fredrik and Marten getting new 8-string guitars. Apparently the 7-strings would frequently go out of tune in the studio due to the extremely low tunings the band were experimenting with

Guitars are awesome there but they fucked up the drums

Dont even like Lamb of God that much but I would listen to them over Meshuggah every time, Meshuggah is influential but I dont care about their music

This remaster is pretty amazing tbh, always felt the original was quite claustrophobic sounding.

Everything on here sounds very clear, the instruments and vocals have space to breath.

As The Palaces Burn is one of my favorite albums of all time, but beyond that i don't care about the band either
