It really do be complete ass though. Like I'm actually shocked at how fucking horrible this album is. I've listened to 40 minutes so far to give it a fair shake, and jesus christ I want my time back.

The entire band of Periphery are filled with some of the most genuinely unlikable people in metal.
Mark Holcomb is a womanizing POS.
Spencer Sotello looks like how his voice sounds.
Misha is a cuck.
They're just so god damn genuinely trash as people.

There's just not a lot of memorable moments on this record. I think there's maybe 2/3 tracks that are good, but the rest miss the mark for me. Most songs run way too long, the vocal hooks aren't good and the songwriting just falls flat on a lot of tracks.
I enjoyed most of P4, but I don't see myself ever returning to this one

Idk, I think people hate the Periphery guys is because they became financially successful. Misha diversified and created Horizon Devices and partnered with the other dudes from Periphery to create getgooddrums, a drum-sample library. Misha flaunts it a bit on social media by posting the supercars he owns and it probably rubs people the wrong way.
