There was a board on here called R&M (Rock and Metal) back in the day for all of your R and M needs, and Slipknot tries to do both. Hey I'm just pointing out how embarassing that performance was. Objectively. Now on the same set, Korn pulled all the stops and they killed it. Speaking of Nuances (not to be confused with forgetting lyrics to the song), this performance shines like a Hypernova under a telescope. This is how artists with heart and passion cover a song.

Crazy how people are still surprised to get an album like this one in 2022 from slipknot, versus an Iowa repeat, and then bitch about it. Lol. Let the very early 2000’s die. These guys are in their 40’s and mostly sober… music listening is a lot more enjoyable if you don’t try to put a band in a box and compare them to what you think they should be or previously were. Just enjoy the ride of a new album.

right but when you tie yourself to such a visceral aesthetic like slipknot has, generally negative reaction to this (and really everything theyve done over the last dozen years or so) is quite understandable.
