Pines is still such a great song. Definitely amongst my favourites within genre.

Entirely self-indulgent question, but any idea how long after release entries take to enter into onto the sput Charts?

It’s 24 on the punk chart. The main chart is unfortunately frozen as of a few months ago

Problems
I’ve got stupid ideas on how we can solve them
Like running around this house with the lights off
You can’t see me
And I can’t see you
Even if I wanted to

ily guys.
Funnily enough, It’s What It Is was the very last song written on this thing, and Falling Asleep In Public Places is the very first song we ever wrote as a group.

How's the song writing coming along?
|
| |
It's been good - handful of seemingly completed tracks, handful of ideas. The flip from post-production on one record to full out writing mode is a difficult thing - my brain is just fried sometimes.

are you writing everything or do you get help from the B O Y S

I write all of the lyrics and vocals, so most of the bones of the writing come from me - it's mainly goes like this: I get an idea (a hook, a guitar lick, a sick ass lyric I want to whine about, whatever), I bring it to the boys, we decide if I'm dumb and need to trash it, if we like it it'll get workshopped and I'll put it in the "getting written" side of my mind where the rest of the track will start to metastasize, then we'll do a more in-depth writing session where some of the details get ironed out - usually resulting in a demo or something, then we just practice the hell out of it. Jack (guitar + backing vox) is my main confidant with writing, but he has another project (that I play drums in) that takes most of his BIG ideas - he has a big-time Strokes, The National, The Cure influence which is a great fit for adding flavor to my alt/punk style, but not a fit for writing full fledged songs for this project. Austin (drums) is a death-metal drummer and is in for whatever we toss his way - if he can free up the time, he will be there to flesh out ideas and get stuff going, but he plays in like 10 bands and knows how much songwriting effort he needs to put in. John (bass) plays lots of minecraft with me while we procrastinate on music - but he will very often send chord progressions and melodies my way that are nice and fitting and get utilized once I emo-up his dad-rock chords LOL.

Why is this album still not showing up on the charts?
On the punk chart it has a rating of 3.88 with plenty of votes, enough to be on the top 50.
But it's not on the all genres??
