It’s hard to choose gunshy kinda hits harder and the tension between the verse and the chorus is really well played but it feels a bit limited/formulaic and salmon more like the music I’m into these days,, didn’t see the video tho

I believe it was Doof who coined the term "indie vanilla smoothie" and I think that perfectly describes the new one (if not her sound in general), it's got lots of the signifiers of the things I like and it goes down pleasantly enough but it all just becomes mush and is lacking any particular distinguishing characteristics/melodies. I've skimmed the lyrics and they're fine and I'm sure very meaningful to her but there's not enough there for me to put in the effort to get to know the album better.
