The sonic atmosphere of this album is definitely unique and badass - the expansive synths, the guitar tones are all perfect to me. I just wish the songs had more direction. Feels like awesome background noise with Marcus trying really hard to pull hooks out of thin air over it with mixed results. Maybe they just set the bar too high for me with Alien though. For what it is, I definitely still dig this

Clarity is the shit yeah. And I agree with everything you said p much MrGlass. Atmosphere and synth here are what draw me in, but not all the songs have that extra oomph that keep you wanting to come back to them. Its more just "oh, that was pleasant"
