I really don't get the love for LITSOS, it's just a bad version of DTGL.

Nah it's not. It's slightly darker and slightly weirder. Definitely bridges the gap between DTGL and Disambiguation.

This album is one of the worst examples of loudness wars I've heard in a while. Especially bad since there are a lot of sections where the music is clearly written to switch between quiet and loud parts but it's just all loud

Big improvement over the abysmal Erase Me but goddamn why the fuck can't they properly mix albums anymore.

Spencer sounds like a high school kid in a local metal band that just became an atheist on this. It's cringe.
The music here is definitely the best post-hiatus, but man, I wish they stook with the Disambiguation sound (the only UO album I actually like). Oh, well.

His lyrics are literally what I would have written when I broke off from Christianity as a teenager, and we're two albums deep with that now, it's really weak. Holding on to that angry kid energy at his age is such a bad look.
