Explain lol I feel like the resemblance is beyond obvious from the lyrical themes, the playing style, less emphasis on the vocals, longer songs, so on. It's like the perfect bridge between Shogun and the good stuff on In Waves imo in that it's still super fast and techy but less thrash more metalcore than Shogun.

Riffs are weaker, songwriting is weaker, it's repetitive and predictable overall. Shogun also had a way more melodic sound to it while this is more heavy-focused. Drumming is obviously better but that's about it.

Yeah I wasn't really hyped about the album precisely because Feast of Fire autopilot style, I still like Phalanx enough and t/t is decent, Like A Sword Over Damocles is a banger tho.
