All artists are bound to have a bad day at some point. Some sooner than others

Circles in the Sky is still their best song, this is not a debate.

The saxophone went to their heads & they felt they needed to 1-up themselves with a total finesse type of album. i swear over 50% of the album is whispering & mumbling mixed in with acoustic guitars. The lyrics feel fake & unconvincing as if my ears were forced to attend an AA meeting. I don’t understand what they were aiming for!! Rivers of Nihil & uplifting spirit folk rock makes for one hell of a boring album. haven’t been this let down since Volumes - Different Animals

& the way they tossed in the the EPIC raineater melody at the very very end felt like a troll job. there was interview of RoN less than 2 years old @ they specifically said 4Th album was going to be winter/death oriented & the band’s heaviest release. Maybe the transitioned since then.. or something

It’s no masterpiece but there’s enough of a fun jam here. Focus, Clean and closer best for mine

Damn, i heard the opening track and was ready for a real banger of an album.....all downhill from there.
I also found the massive lack of flow and overarching theme to be a massive blunder. The musicianship is there, the desire to explore was there......all that potential and this....this is what we got. sad

Okay, your opinion is that the album sucks, and my opinion is that your opinion sucks. I haven't headbanged so hard to a new album in quite a while. You have complaints, fine, but there's no need to be a total Dbag about it. You keep talking about how the album is 'pretentious' and yet the only pretentious thing I see here is you.
