Strange page break. Pay me no heed, read the lyrics to Reporting of a Failed Campaign and bliss out

This was very cool overall, liked it a lot more than their last record. Doesn't have a goat track like tyres down, but it's very consistent throughout

I also think this is better than the previous after just two listens
There's something about it...think the debut might have competition here

I think this is their most consistent album and maybe it is my favourite 😯

Might be more a natural follow up to The Drones 'Feelin Kinda Free'?

There's definitely a chance for this to shake out as their best when all's said and done, I'm cautiously optimistic thus far. It does seem very consistent. Maybe it isn't quite as striking as 'Meatspace' was (at this stage), but that's okay.
I keep meaning to check The Drones... then these guys just went ahead and released another album. I'll get around to it before TFS LP no.4 perhaps!

Laughing Death still beats this out pretty easily musically but I like the lyrical concepts a lot more here

Same as the Ledd.

Concepts are more concept-y here fo sho (save Future of History), but the lyrics on Laughing Death are just as well written
Cuz, Y’know, Gaz one of the best lyricists going etc etc

i want Gazboi and Reid Bateh to have a pissup goonstyle and write a crossover concept antiepic about a fertility crisis in a small swamp town forty years ago and its subsequent intersections with morphine, unsired bastards and dead fucking animals for days

Don’t forget that the swamp is loaded with furniture full of children. Pre sure that’s like the one conspiracy theory Gaz ain’t already tapped

It's strange how this is disappointing, but also the album is kinda better for it. Makes the bigger moments stick out a bit more, even if they're never quite as manic as they were. I would argue that The Donkey and Reporting of a Failed Campaign (and probably Blue Beam Baby and GAFF and maybe the opener) are absolutely GOAT tracks, but, again, their songwriting is far more effective when you're consciously engaging with the songs. It's not particularly visceral otherwise.
