This wasn’t too bad on first listen tbh, might like more than NMG.

Solid 4 from me, not even close to NMG tho.

I think overall this is a good album but I can't listen to Bialystok the effect on his voice at the start really doesn't gel with me. So by virtue of having a song I dislike and can't listen to this is their worst for me. Will probably 4 it though. I dunno.

I don't know if it's been mentioned - but, the bridge of 737 -
"The planеs that never fly
The dеbt that never dies
The beacons never light
The moon stays in the sky
The lightning never strikes
The homes I've left behind
The floors I'll never find
The eyes that never cry
The love never believed
The dead who never speak."
Corresponds to every track on the album in chronological order.

Yeah I picked up on that too and it's a big reason why 737 is my favorite. Not only is it badass but it also serves as a thematic overture.

Honestly could see this becoming a less distant second to NMG. Not ready to say it could be its equal but god am I loving this.

As it stands right now, '737' and 'Beacons' would be my favourite ones from this. Wish 'Bialystok' developed a bit further. 'Speak With The Dead' is obv a great track, but i dunno if i'd come back to it ever so often since i've got Enter Shikaris 'Stalemate' that already enters a similar emotional realm for me.

Beacons is a BANGER

I do not get it either if it's any consolation
Beacons has some of the loveliest lyrics Conor's written, it's such a shame they're buried behind all the claustrophobic production. and oh man the prod on Bialystok and Believed is just actively working against the songs
so much bizarre stuff here, it's like the band and producers were making different albums at the same time

I think they were going for sort of a muddled electronic feel. I agree that it works against Beacons but in other cases like If I Believed In Love it absolutely crushes.

If these songs ought to work as parts of a superior concept, that's fine. I just don't get much personality, musically or performance-wise, out of most of these tracks. The majority on here is just "fine".

Definitely Foxing's worst album.

i can see Bialystok through Cold Blooded growing but after 2 listens the singles really outshine them. When The Lighting Strikes Twice is huge (which btw, really don't get the hate for it) and If I Believed in Love is the perfect blend of unhinged Foxing and pop Foxing with everything between feeling so noticeably lackluster that I can't help but make a point of it.
Go Down Together grew on me though. I don't think it sounds appropriate after 737 but idk what here would. hell, 737 is probably a top 5 Foxing song and definitely their new best intro
feeling like a 3.8 atm

Glad someone else is with me on Lightning Strikes Twice. In fact I basically agree with every single thing you said, I just like the non-singles slightly more than you.
