In fairness Mono, Mogwai, Sigur Ros all have bland/boring albums (+ Yndi Halda generally), but yeah agreed that 5% is much sus

"if only sput users were as picky about the dime-a-dozen metal albums that they hype up every year as they were any other genre"
I mean this has a 4.1 rating atm lol so
|
| |
its pretty hard to earn a low average around these parts

| |
Album Rating: 2.5
sput overrates everything yeah but earning a 4.1 or (especially) anything above that is not a given.

and especially if it's a current release.

Sput has this weird balance where anything up to 3.4 can be taken for granted, but every 0.1 above that point becomes incrementally harder to hold down

‘In fairness Mono, Mogwai, Sigur Ros all have bland/boring albums‘
I didn’t say they had perfect discogs, just worthwhile material. So yeah, in fairness they do all have at least some bland material, for clarification.
I wouldn’t have thought of Stereolab as post-rock, but I guess? Downy! (you just had to get that in there). P.S. This reminded me I need to revisit Red Sparrowes.

i liked red sparowes' debut
apparently emma ruth rundle was with them for the final one but i dont think iever listened to that one actually
