@johnny
Most of the other songs have sections which are thin and the guitar is very noticable. Whereas on that song, the efforts of the other band members cover it up lul

I dig sunglasses....def love the slint reference and like this wave of self-aware absurdist punks. not sure about Track X yet and their music videos are definitely like one step away from stock image photostock albums but it's kinda entrancing...v interesting band! Embrace the new even if it's a bit cringe I say

i think they embrace the stock image presentation. it's some kind of joke they are self-aware about, but we don't get.

like their covers are also practically Getty images

Yeah definitely intentional ! Love how they at the end cut to the band nonchalantly playing the chaotic breakdown where the footage is obviously cut to match song but band seems so indifferent about even playing hahah

it's like it's all a goof, but with real substance underneath.

or something that seems larger-than-life, but is actually a joke played on you.

can't really decide which is it.

I think you’re on to something here b/c all of the music videos prominently feature American flags even tho they’re Brits.

Of course, I meant that it's only viral to us and people like us. I don't think it's like idk Tame Impala level or anything.

Awesome, as expected from the various singles. Great review, though I liked it a tad more I think.

First time listening to these guys, I too am surprised the average isnt higher. Vocals can be a little dumb at times but musically this is super creative. Love the use of so many instruments. Track X is my early favorite

as an english man from england
"and there are so many roadmen on this street, and they cannot tell that i am scared
i am invincible in these sunglasses, i am 'modern-Scott Walker'"

is my least favourite lyric of all time

reminds me of the mid 00s indie trope of talking about daytime tv-
oh
wait
and complain of mediocre theatre in the daytime
