If the second half was anywhere close to as good as the first half I'd feel the same. There are some genuinely magical moments in Void and Dandelion and Lose. The back half just doesn't grab me the same way.
Still, really excited to see what the band does next. This sound suits them really well . With a little more widening of the dynamic range they could really make some waves.

For me, there's just two songs that aren't literally amazing, and that's Living Hell and Bait. But even those are good enough for me to have no qualms keeping the 5. Just out of curiosity Project, what do you think of Harbor and Eraser? They're both in the second half and they're both on par with Dandelion and Moon for me - arguably better than the latter.
Void, Lose, and I Don't Belong Here are the 3 highlights no matter how you look at it, though.

I’m a nut and bought three different variants of this on vinyl... listened to them all today and just reaffirmed my love for this even more. This started out as being a good record, and it has grown to become an essential one.

Harbor and Eraser are fine but they don't feel like they go anywhere and the atmosphere isn't strong enough to justify their lack of dynamic range
Hard agree with your highlight summation though, and I actually like Moon, even if it's far surpassed by the aforementioned highlights

After listening to this countless times, this is my current ranking of the tracks. It could change tomorrow! On my first listen, Void was #1 and Bait and Eraser were my least favourites. I adore every song now though. I still can't get over the drums. The atmosphere and dynamics are amazing...
I Don't Belong Here
Eraser
Harbor
Bait
Moon
Void
Lose
Dandelion
Living Hell

Bump. My AOTY from last year. It's such a grower into something absolutely incredible.

Yep, it's a great winter album too. I feel like I'll listen to this album for many years. It's had some kind of effect on me haha

It really is. It's such a grower too. I "liked" it at first and now I can't get enough.

Yep. I knew about their previous stuff already when I heard this, but this is a monumental leap. It really is their TDAG.

Also I like your ranking because it gives Eraser the respect it deserves. It's such a shattered, bone-chilling ballad. Gorgeous, haunting, and very sad.
This would be my current ranking:
1. I Don't Belong Here
2. Eraser
3. Void
4. Lose
5. Dandelion
6. Harbor
7. Moon
8. Living Hell
9. Bait

Bait isn't bad I just tend to forget about it compared to the other ones with more obvious draws

I love Bait. I play drums but I would love to learn that one on guitar.
