I don't get the mentality that lyrics are irrelevant. Sure, they aren't always the key element, but they can definitely make an impact on the album.

I care about them and moreso in the hip hop rap field but i like songs where i can't understand the lyrics just as much with one where i easily decipher what is said. Lyrics are like a bonus

Lyrics are as relevant to music quality as someone's personality is to their looks.

it's fucking dumb to shit on a band for being socially conscious though

also, anyone who unironically uses "sjw" as a derogatory term is someone whose opinion i really have no interest in hearing

But you do you, Klay Thompson. I heard you're back to practicing with the team. Good for you.

I get to look forward to one of the thousand scenarios Thunder will be in and have no idea what the future holds. SGA and Lu Dort are awesome though.

Draymond is done for at this point so not sure if it'll be the same for you guys.

Be interesting to see where Brooklyn falls given neither the Snake nor Mr. Flat Earth played any meaningful time this year.

I'm a Dallas bandwagoner (actually one year early since I hopped on when Luka had a losing season) and wholeheartedly think they would have given it to the Lakers in the Western Conference Final if KP had been healthy.

And for anyone saying this isn't an NBA thread, know that I'm far too lazy to go dig the old one up, so your protests and crying shall be in vain.

The thunder and the Mavericks have always come as a duo package for me on fox sports so I get to watch all thunder and Mavericks games for free on any device.

Why does this keep reminding people of bands that are really bad

God I hope the Nets are awful lol

Also think OKC has a LOT of upside, especially if CP3 stays for a year or 2 and SGA blossoms into the superstar he's capable of being

If CP3 and everyone else stay we have enough money to sign Gallo and pay someone else who is willing to come and make like $15 million. I would prefer going with our current roster for two more years than rebuilding now. We can rebuild with this roster. SGA as an offensive star and Lu Dort as a defensive superstar, Dennis Schroeder is still capable of becoming a better player too, and if think that Darius Bailey can become an all star caliber player as well. We have three huge young pieces to develop right now.

Omg I just read some of the lyrics to that last album. It’s definitely wayyyyyy too much- one of those things where music lyrics was NOT the correct medium for that writing. This album is pretty damn great so I think I’m gonna pretend it’s a debut and be mystified.

@Storm good point, Dort showed up pretty good in the playoffs, him and Adams can make a damn good defensive duo inside

Also this about Lu Dort and the game 7 we narrowly lost-

It not only broke the Thunder rookie playoff scoring record that had been set by James Harden; it was a point tally that, with his age, put him ahead of all-time greats.

Dort joins LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as the only three players to score 25 points or more in a Game 7 at the age of 21 or younger, according to Mike Lynch and Stathead.

Bryant scored 25 points in 2000 against the Portland Trail Blazers at the age of 21.

James scored 27 points in 2006 against the Detroit Pistons when he was 21 years old.

On Wednesday, Dort went 10-for-21 from the field and 6-for-12 from 3. His 21 shots were more than anyone else in the game, as were his 30 points.

Working within that analogy, a bad personality can ruin someone hot for me lol. What if a band had the most beautiful soundscapes but the lyrics were like “a poo poo a pee pee a doo doo”

i think your experience affirms his analogy though. i took it to mean: if lyrics are important to you then they'll have a qualitative impact, as would personality on appearance, but neither have an inherent impact.
