Great band.
The sort of stuff I don’t listen to much these days, compared to when I was young. (Must be getting old! 54….)
But if I walk into a gig and this shit is going down, I ain’t going nowhere!
Oh and Rubber Bullies is epic live!
Oh, Shark Fin Blues, well, different band, but listen!!!!!

Nice, sounds like you enjoyed it old timer (P.S. that's not actually old, it's maybe old for Sput though!). I'm looking forward to (hopefully) going to see them later this year. Still need to procure me a ticket, so this was a timely reminder!
I imagine their live shows are certainly something to witness

I really dig the new album except for Dunning Kruger’s Loser Cruiser, which is pretty lame/silly in a bad way. But the rest of the album is great, some of their best tunes in a while. I also have a long-due homework wrt The Drones, this is probably the perfect time to catch-up.

I think this and the new one are just as good as any Drones record… but yes I See Seaweed is fucking goated, love Kinda Feelin Free too. To Think I Once Loved You is devastating and beautiful in equal measure

I love pretty much all the projects and albums that Gareth is involved in between his solo material, The Drones, Tropical Fuck Storm and Springtime... the only album I can think of that maybe I haven't come to "love" yet is The Drones' The Miller's Daughter (honestly not even 100% sure whether it's actually a studio album or more of a comp/B-sides release)
all started with I See Seaweed for me... guess I owe the melon for that one pretty sure his having reviewed it was what got it on my radar definitely thankful for having discovered them

ya melon doesn’t get enough credit with a lot of elitists or whatever you wanna call them, his Meatspace review turned me onto all of Gareth’s projects so I’m eternally grateful for that. He’s definitely good for discovering new music even if I don’t really agree with him a lot of the time.
