Agreed on the consistency of this thing. I also just realized how much "Cradling Mother, Cradling Woman" is an illuminated "Grown Ocean".

Quiet Air - Sun Road - Thymia - Cradling Mother is an absolutely untouchable run of songs.
Sun Road sounds like you're slowly being lifted into the afterlife

Lots of highs on this and def better than their last. I think Helplessness Blues is just more consistent though. Album is great though

better than their last, for sure. I don't like their experimental side at all.

As stunning as this is, Crack-Up remains their best and their artistic measuring stick.

It took forever for Crack-Up to fully grow on me, but I'm inclined to agree that it's their best

their first is still their best, imo. it acomplishes its tone and atmosphere with so little. Crack-up wishes it was that effective.

"Featherweight" smack dab in the middle is interesting, that's such an obvious highlight for me.

I love its aesthetic. Certainly one of the prettiest songs with those cascading pianos and minor key. But I usually have to be listening to it to be reminded of its beauty, whereas the ones above it all have very distinct moments I recall and adore. For a Week or Two is such an underrated song fwiw.
