tbh even if I were using normal rating methods this would be a 4. it's pretty good! got me listening to PoS again. I've actually been really enjoying some of the road salt material.

Personally, this is a 4.25. If I could give those kind of ratings that is

I prefer it to any other disc I rated 4 this year (Starmaker, Agnes Obel's, Jeff Rosenstock and I think a couple others - 2020 is beeeeing real good in terms of output), but I generally see I rate discs 0.5 less than what Sput does, and I didn't feel like rounding it up down in the review especially for a band this far in their career, still delivering quality outputs like this.

Ok I might have to eat my words about this album. The dude's voice is hit or miss but the music is pretty dope.

Yeah man he grooves like a mother fucker. I love how he made such odd times feel so rhythmic.

He looks so much like Daniel in the Accelerator clip haha

never cared for any of their albums as a whole despite them having some fantastic songs.....just one of those bands for me and I know they're in my wheelhouse

something about em just turns me off

I can't get on with this at all compared to 'In the Passing Light of Day'. There's a lack of anything matching the drama of 'On a Tuesday' too. I think I miss the chug. Also, what was he thinking with 'Panther'. It's quite possibly the worst song i've heard all year.

In addition, a particular gripe of mine is bands fully capitalising song titles. Just... no.

Holy hell this album is so great. I love it the most from their whole discography. It has an awesome industrial metal vibe fused with their traditional eclectic songwriting, and not to mention it has loads of emotion. I guess I just didn't expect something this good so it surprised me. This year we also had Airbag going into more electronic territory as well and it worked wonders for them too. Guess that aspect brings out some newfound creativity from prog musicians.
